Though rarely seeing snow, Mallorca has a wonderful crisp feel in December and January, with red berries dotting the hedgerows, and the earthy scent of wood smoke. The Christmas market in Puerto Portals is full of festive cheer thanks to its seasonal market, featuring dozens of Christmas stalls. At the market, In addition to plenty of original gift ideas, you will find all kinds of nibbles and bites, including traditional Christmas specialties and international dishes, such as ´Kartoffelsalat´or´Lebkuchen´.

Enjoy shopping and having a holiday refreshment in a welcoming atmosphere adorned with lights and Christmas trees, while listening to traditional music. Children´s activities include storytelling, craft workshops and face painting and the event features an exciting skating rink.

Plaza Mayor

In the city center of Palma de Mallorca you will find the Plaza Mayor market. This market is filled with stalls offering Christmas decorations and gifts, including everything you need to create your own nativity scene, a great activity for when the weather is a bit chilly and you stay in and get bundled up. If you are in need of inspiration, you can stroll along the several impressive displays of nativity scenes around the city, such as the one in the foyer of the
town hall in Plaza Cort.

The Christmas markets continue in La Rambla and around Plaza España, with stalls selling churros, artisan products and unique Christmas decorations. Pick up a souvenir for your tree back home to remind you of this special trip!

Pueblo Español

At Christmas, the streets and squares of Pueblo Español become a winter wonderland, with many gift stalls, delicious food to warm you up, cocktail and wine stands and of course, a special appearance from Santa Claus. Pueblo Español is situated in the Son Dureta area of the city.

Alaró

Discover Alaró at the two-day Christmas Market where visitors can expect to find a range of handmade Mallorcan products, local food and lots of festive cheer. The food trucks in particular are well worth a visit for hot chocolate, crêpes and other winter warmers.

La Seu
