AKALAM

Launched in 2011, AKALAM stands out as a high performance luxury sailing yacht that seamlessly blends innovative design with unparalleled comfort. Conceived by Barracuda Yacht Design for its naval architecture and exterior styling, and brought to life inside by the creative vision of Javier Muñoz, AKALAM is a testament to exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Spanning 32 meters, this elegant sloop features a distinctive retro aesthetic, highlighted by a beautifully varnished wooden base encircling the deckhouse and aft seating area. The traditional bow and gracefully raised stern evoke classic yachting elegance, while the yacht’s expansive 60-square meter aft deck sets her apart from others in her class. This vast outdoor space, reminiscent of what one might find on a much larger yacht, is thoughtfully designed for relaxation, dining, and social gatherings, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in open-air luxury and panoramic sea views.

One of AKALAM’s most remarkable features is her abundance of flush-mounted, large hull windows. These windows sit seamlessly within the hull’s structure, preserving the yacht’s sleek lines. For guests, these expansive windows flood the interior spaces with natural
light and offer breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the surrounding sea – creating a bright, inviting atmosphere throughout the yacht.

Engineered for long-distance cruising, AKALAM is equipped with generous freezer and refrigeration capacity, ensuring that guests and crew enjoy fresh provisions on extended journeys. Her lifting keel allows the yacht’s draft to change from 3.6 to 5.5 meters
and provides outstanding stability at sea and grants the flexibility to anchor in shallow waters. This feature also opens up a world of secluded bays and picturesque anchorages typically inaccessible to larger yachts. Further elevating her performance, AKALAM boasts
a carbon fiber rig and advanced hydraulic systems, which together deliver exhilarating sailing while minimizing the effort required from the crew.

Built to the highest standards by Pendennis and always maintained in class, AKALAM truly represents the ideal fusion of modern engineering, innovative design, and luxurious living. Whether entertaining guests on her expansive aft deck, savoring the tranquility of her sunlit interior, or exploring secluded covers thanks to her adaptable keel, owners and guests alike can expect an unrivaled yachting experience – making AKALAM a rare and desirable opportunity in the world of 30-meter-plus performance sailing yachts.
