HUNTRESS, a 75 meter Lurssen launched in 2009, with an extensive refit in 2022. Maintained immaculately by a professional and dedicated crew of 22. Boasting a light, fresh transitional interior, with multiple gathering areas focusing on quality and comfort.
Comfortably accommodating up to 12 guests in 6 large staterooms all with king beds (2 converting to twin rooms) and large bathrooms and shower and bath tubs.
Exterior entertaining areas are abundant with the preferred Owners Deck drawing guests for al fresco dining with wind and sun protection.
A full array of state of the art water toys are available.
A large elevator is available for guests to all decks except the sundeck and is wheel chair accessible.

Sai Alegety

Steward

Sai was born and raised in Hyderabad, India. After school, he went on to work in a hotel as a laundry man, where he learned about the yachting industry. Sai landed his first job as a laundry stew on MY Kismet in 2015 and he’s never looked back. Having recently completed a Masters Degree in Business Studies in the UK, Sai has returned to yachting and is excited to be a part of the Huntress team. In his free time, Sai likes to take his Motorbike continental GT650 for a spin. He is a watch enthusiast and is fascinated about the study of time.

Tati Barboza

Masseuse

Tati has a Degree in Spors Science and a Masters in Exercise Physiology; in addition to being an experienced masseuse. On board Huntress, Tati offers a wellness program that includes massage, body treatments and facials; and a fitness program including yoga, personal training, stretching and meditation. Krystine Barnard

Bosun

Krystine was born and raised on rural Zimbabwe. A keen creative spirit for drawing and carpentry, she also enjoys being active, the outdoors and nature; speaking to her enjoyment of working on deck. She started working in the yachting industry in 2015.

Oliver Nash

Engineer

Oliver is originally from beautiful Surrey in the UK, however his family moved to Spain and so he lived there from a young age and now has an excellent grasp of the language. He has worked on yachts for 2.5 years and has worked on some well-known industry yachts. We are very happy that he has chosen us as his next adventure. Outside yachting, Oliver is an International Judo competitor and was the British Champion back in 2018. He also has a passion to play and watch rugby and take part in recreational sailing. We hope you enjoy getting to know Oliver as much as we love having him on board.

Wilfred Schulz

Engineer

Wilfred is a national of New Zealand and Kirabati. He has been on the yachting industry for 4 years and previous spent 7 years working on ferries, commercial container ships and cruise ships.

Richard Crockford

First Officer

Richard was born and raised in West Wales in the popular seaside town of Tenby. Richard’s Dad owned a passenger boat which took tourists on island cruises during the summer months. This is where he started to get into the boating way of life and at the age of 17, Richard joined the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Tenby where he worked for 12 years.  In 2001 he joined his first motor yacht. Richard is a big rugby union fan having been a keen player during his younger years.  Richard is a father of two young children who live in England with his wife Jo. Richard maintains a safe environment onboard as well as maintaining a professional and happy crew.

Michaela Swart

Deckhand

Michaela was born in South Africa but grew up in the Southern UK where she found her passion for health, fitness, nutrition, and the outdoors. After spending a year as a nutritionist in London, she decided to make a change and pursue her desire to have an active career outdoors. Michaela has been in the yachting industry for a year and a half and joins us from 60m MY Alfa G. She has high ambitions to climb the ladder and as she progresses in her yachting career, in her spare time she’d love to open an organic cafè and water sport hut on a beach front.

Lee Harding

Chief engineer

Lee is from the UK but resided in many countries growing up. He joined the Merchant navy in the year 2001 allowing him work on several types of vessels in all regions of the world before finally obtaining his MCA Chief Engineer unlimited COC, he has also been involved in several new build projects in Dubai and South Korea before coming into the Yachting industry working mainly on large explorer yachts on worldwide itineraries. Outside of work he is a keen scuba diver and enjoys physical activities such as hiking and the gym. He is currently working toward his AFF sky diving license and wishes to obtain his pilot’s license in the future.

Zack Entwistle

Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)

Zack grew up in Northwest England in the natural beauty of the Rossendale valley. He swapped his muddy rugby boots for epaulets and escaped the wet weather to sail for sunshine. Despite this, having then spent 5 years with the penguins and rough seas in Antarctica, Zack has lately achieved his pursuit for the sun recently spending 6 months on 75m MY Naia in the Mediterranean. Zack brings his extensive skills, experience and love for the outdoors, whatever the weather, on board Huntress and is looking forward to the season ahead.

Holly Doyle

Stewardess

Holly is a bright soul from the southeast of England. Her work experience includes working as Cabin Crew in the airline industry as a personal assistant to an interior designer with a focus for luxury hotels. Holly has been in the yachting industry for 6 years.

Jordy Louw

Deckhand

Jordy is friendly, approachable and extremely organized making him a valued member of the Huntress team deck team. He joined the yachting industry after working several years as a technician.

Gary Adams

Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)

Gary grew up on the picturesque Isle of Arran on Scotland’s west coast, where he embraced the outdoors with a passion for fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, golf, and football. He has spent the last 15 years sparking joy on cruise ships and private yachts. When he is not troubleshooting electrical systems, you’ll find him strumming his acoustic guitar, pondering over chess strategies, or powering through gym sessions. If you need any assistance, just let Gary know—he’ll be more than happy to help with anything you need.

Luke Seamarks

Engineer

Luke joins us from Norwich, UK with over 10 years experience in the marine industry, starting out as a cadet on commercial vessels and the last 5 years on yachts. He is dedicated to his position and has extremely high standards. Aside to being an excellent engineer, Luke is also a pilot and light aircraft engineer. He also enjoys flying helicopters and restoring classic cars. When he’s not flying around the skies in his free time you can find him back in the water turning his hand to various water sports, there is no end to his talents! Luke is a pleasure to have on board and looks forward to meeting you all.

Jono Trace

First Officer

Jono was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He joined the yachting industry in September 2014 and completed his Chief Mates license in 2019. He has worked on various vessels, ranging from 55 - 88 meters while traveling the east coast of the USA, Caribbean, Bahamas and the Mediterranean.

David Maginnis

Chief engineer

David comes from a lifelong career on the sea. He began as a cadet in the Royal Auxiliary Fleet and is now an accomplished Chief Engineer with over 13 years experience working onboard various sized yachts, with over 5 of those as Chief. David is very busy at home with his wife, 2 boys and baby girl on the way. In his own time, he still manages to get out and about on the golf course, plays football and squash as well as keeping fit in the gym. After travelling the world for a year, He picked up a keen interest in snowboarding, scuba diving and kiteboarding.

Daniel Osuna

Chef

Daniel was born in Venezuela, where he attended culinary school in 2004. He is a former US Army Specialist with the chemical corp enabling him to travel all over the US while serving the country. After his service and attending culinary school in Washington DC he started working under Michelin chefs at fine dining restaurants. After a decade, he naturally transitioned to luxury yachts where he thrives.

Jean Macchiavello

Chef

Jean was born in Lima, Peru, a world leading culinary destination. He remembers being highly passionate and inspired over food from a very young age and knew that cooking was a career that he wanted to pursue. In his free time, you can find Jean playing sports, going to the gym and exploring the finest restaurants in all the destinations he is fortunate enough to visit. Jeans favorite meal to cook is the classic Peruvian dish, Ceviche Norteño.

Talya Lynn

Chief steward/ess

Talya is from South London, UK, and after 8 years applying her degree in Graphic Design she embarked on her career in the yachting industry. Tayla has vast experience in high end hospitality as well as high performing charter yachts. She leads the interior team with class and confidence.

Megan Thomas

Stewardess

Meg is from a small village in Wales. She loves travelling and meeting new people. Meg joined the yachting industry at age 22 and has worked on various prestigious yachts such as MY Odessa II, MY Radiant and MY Ecstasea. Meg has enjoyed exploring the beautiful Mediterranean coastline and the luscious Caribbean islands and looks forward to travelling to more exciting destinations. After spending some time in Australia recently, Meg flew to Bali where she accomplished her yoga teacher training and then completed her advanced PADI diving in the Philippines.

Zander Kallis

Deckhand

Zander entered the yachting industry in 2022, embarking on various trips in the Bahamas and the Mediterranean as a deckhand onboard MY Second Love. Prior to his yachting career, he successfully completed his BCom Economics degree. A passionate sports enthusiast, Zander actively participated in rugby, cricket, mountain biking, and paddle sports during his school and university years. Growing up near the ocean in Cape Town ignited his deep-seated love for being on boats. Now, as a new crew member on Huntress, Zander eagerly anticipates making a positive impact on the team and enhancing his skills as an individual.

Bryn Needham-DuPlessis

Deckhand

Bryn was born in Cape Town South Africa; he grew up in a small town called Stellenbosch near the coast. He is our youngest crew member at age 18. He discovered his love for the ocean at an early age through surfing and sailing with his uncles. At school Bryn played Rugby as flank and enjoyed playing soccer as well as supporting his favorite team, Manchester United. As soon as he finished school, he headed to the United States to pursue his passions even further in the yachting industry. Bryn hopes that his passion evolves into a lifelong career and thanks to Huntress it has began. 

Rudolf Muller

Deckhand

Rudolf grew up and completed his schooling in a beautiful town 2 hours northeast of Cape Town called Montagu. It is here where he discovered his great passion for music, singing and playing guitar. Rudolf learnt some fundamental construction skills whilst helping his family build their guest house as well as pursuing music full time. After completing 2 years in the yachting industry aboard 73m MY Laurel and 92m MY Aquarius, Rudolf recently completed his Yachtmaster course gaining him further knowledge in seamanship and navigation.

Elizabeth Hughes

Stewardess

Elizabeth was born in Durban, South Africa. Growing up on the beach she has a strong love for the ocean. After finishing school, she moved to Cape Town where she studied visual communication majoring in Art Direction and went on to study photography. Her love for the ocean and desire to travel led her to yachting. Liz previously worked onboard Motor Yacht Chopi Chopi which is where she fell in love with the industry. In her free time, you’ll find her at the beach, doing yoga, taking photographs or outdoors in nature.

Emily Goossens

Stewardess

Emily grew up in Lancashire in the UK and joined MY Huntress recently after working onboard the beautiful Sailing Yacht, Black Pearl. Emily has worked in some prestigious hotels and restaurants across the UK, Australia and New Zealand gaining Michelin star service experience and knowledge within the hospitality industry. Emily loves animals, especially her little Scottie dog called Nessie. When not out at sea Emily enjoys skiing in the Alpes, sunrise yoga and playing tennis.

Gray Galloway

Stewardess

Gray grew up in Dannevirke, a small town in the North Island of New Zealand. She trained as and spent 7 years as a Makeup Artist in Auckland New Zealand where she also joined her first Yacht, MY Ocean Dreamwalker III, exploring Asia and the Pacific. Despite growing up in rural New Zealand, Gray found her love for the Ocean and has recently taken up learning to surf. In her spare time, Gray loves hitting a cafe for a good strong coffee before a bit of vintage clothes shopping!

Len Beck

Captain

Len grew up in the Catskill Mountains where they touch the Hudson River Valley in upstate New York. He obtained his first US Coastguard license in 1985 and has since worked on a variety of vessels cruising from the Hudson River Valley to the shores of Australia, New Zealand, Asia, The Mediterranean Sea, the Baltic Sea, South and Central American and beyond. He has been around the world on a vessel, working for over 15 years for the same family. Len resides in Woodstock, New York and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Bill Zinser

Captain

Bill officially began his professional yachting career as a kid growing up on the Connecticut shore and years later his career as a captain was launched and he proceeded to serve onboard various sized motor yachts. In 1990, Bill was at the helm of a busy charter yacht where he remained until he joined Cakewalk II in 1995 and supervised her through an award-winning 18-month refit. Bill remained a loyal and trusted leader of the Cakewalk series of yachts from construction to the helm. Once the Cakewalk program concluded he assisted with several colleagues with the delivery for the 60 Meter Huntress from British Columbia to West Palm Beach Bill joined Len Beck as rotation captain on the Huntress yachts.
